“You can never be overdressed or overeducated.” - Oscar Wilde
Rexa Han is a pianist whose artistry is defined not only by virtuosity, but by the atmosphere she
creates — where sound, space, and presence converge into something deeply human.
Born in China and based in the United States, she began performing at the age of five and has since
appeared across Europe, North America, and Asia, in venues including Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Her performances have been broadcast on
major classical radio stations such as WQXR in New York and WFMT in Chicago, as well as on
television in China.
A First Prize winner of the Kosciuszko Chopin International Piano Competition in New York, Rexa has
been recognized for both her technical brilliance and her distinctive artistic voice. She was granted the
United States “Extraordinary Ability” green card under the recommendation of Van Cliburn — an honor
reserved for artists of exceptional distinction — affirming her place among a select group of
internationally recognized musicians.
Her musical formation spans some of the world’s most respected institutions. She studied at the Central
Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the Manhattan School of Music, where she graduated with highest
honors. She later earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Frost School of Music at the
University of Miami, with full scholarship and teaching appointment.
Beyond the traditional stage, Rexa is the creator of New Extravaganza™, a contemporary reimagining
of the salon — an intimate, invitation-only world where music becomes presence, and each
performance unfolds as a shared, unrepeatable moment.
Her recordings include A Tribute to the Piano, released under the Concert Artists Guild, and Déjà vu,
released in Italy under Palermo Classica. Whether in grand concert halls or in carefully curated private
settings, Rexa Han’s performances are not simply heard — they are lived, leaving a lasting impression
that lingers long after the final note.
