Chinese-born American pianist, Rexa Han, has performed to wide acclaim throughout Europe, North America and Asia. As a child prodigy, she made her hometown debut at the age of five. During her teenage years, she won important national competitions and played throughout China to enormous success. She attended the Central Conservatory in Beijing and was granted full scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music in the United States. She graduated with the highest honors, winning the President’s Award as well as the coveted Munz Scholarship. In 2018, Rexa received full scholarship and stipend to continue her Doctoral degree in Musical Arts at the Frost School of Music at University of Miami.
As a concert pianist, Rexa has given solo recitals in Europe, Asia, and across the United States. She performed in various prestigious concerts and venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall, Yamaha Center, the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam Netherlands, Poly Theater in Beijing, and more. She was also invited to perform in music festivals such as International Piano Festival in Spain, the renowned International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City, International Music Festival in Shanghai, China, InterHarmony International Music Festival in Italy, Echos International Music Festival in Italy, and Palermo Classical Music Festival in Sicily, Italy. Rexa has frequently appeared on radio stations such as WQXR-the most famous Classical Music Station in New York City, WWFM.org-Classical Network In New Jersey, WFMT.com in Chicago and as well as on Chinese Television.
In 2011, Rexa won First Prize in the 62nd Kosciuszko Chopin International Piano Competition in New York City. In 2012 she was awarded with an “Extraordinary Ability” green card from the Government of the United States under recommendation by Van Cliburn. Rexa Han’s CD, “A Tribute To The Piano,” has been released on the Elmaleh Collection vec. 102 under the Concert Artist Guild and her upcoming CD, “Déjà vu,” will be released in Sicily under Palermo Classica.
